Seven people were arrested Thursday during ongoing protests in Los Angeles and San Francisco against California’s passage of a ban on gay marriage.
LAPD Officer Jason Lee said the marchers were mostly peaceful in the demonstration against Proposition 8 that began Wednesday night in West Hollywood and continued into Thursday morning.
I will repeat what I have said a thousand times: whatever floats your boat as long as it doesn’t sink mine. If you want to play “Fuzzy Pumper Sausage Shop” with your male partner or “let’s pretend we’re Fidel Castro” with your earthy, flannel bedecked female partner, I could give two rats asses. But the law is the law. People have spoken and it didn’t go your way so just deal with it already. You didn’t see a bunch of old, white, venture capitalists throwing rocks at community centers after Obama was elected, did you? No, you didn’t.
Now, behave and get back to antiquing and decoupage and Liza or whatever it is that you were doing before you started getting all angry. Remember, gay and angry are antonyms you sillies!
If gay marriage can’t pass in California, it just isn’t in the cards right now folks.
