Religion Of Peace Members Hurl Projectiles At Riot Police… Guess Who Gets Blamed?

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009
Quit calling us violent fanatics and convert to Islam or we'll kill you.

Quit calling us violent fanatics and convert to Islam or we'll kill you.

What do you call it when a group of Muslims starts screaming “Allahu Ackbar”, waving pro-Islamist banners, and throwing projectiles at demonstrators and riot police in response to a non-violent protest on the eight anniversary of 9-11? Well, right wing fascism by anti-Muslim groups of course!

LONDON – Violent clashes between anti-Islam demonstrators and Muslim counter-protesters in English cities are worrying the government, with one British minister comparing the disturbances to 1930s-era fascist incitement.

The violence that has hit Luton, Birmingham and London in the last few months has involved a loose collection of far-right groups — such as the previously unknown English Defense League — on one side and anti-fascist organizations and Muslim youth on the other.

In an interview published Saturday, Communities Minister John Denham accused the anti-Islam protesters of deliberately stirring up trouble.

Deliberately stirring up trouble, eh? So what exactly does Communities Minister John Denham call the Islamic protest at a parade of returning British soldiers from Iraq where groups of Muslims were carrying signs that said “baby killers” and “butchers”? Or are Muslim protests freedom of speech and non-Muslim protests hate speech?

Anjem Chourdary added insult to the injury caused by Islamic extremists’ hate-filled protest against soldiers returning home from the war-torn region by saying they were ‘not heroes but closer to coweards who cannot fight, as their uncanny knack for death by friendly fire illustrates’.

Choudary’s extraordinary comments were delivered hours after Muslim protesters waved offensive placards as members of 2nd Battalion Royal Anglian Regiment marched through Luton.

The preacher, the right-hand man to cleric of hate Omar Bakri, went on to attack the ‘vile’ parade. He said the soldiers were ‘terrorists’, comparing them to Nazi troops who ‘cannot be excused for simply carrying out their duty’.

Peaceful Islamists not instigating by calling soldiers butchers and baby killers.

Peaceful Islamists not instigating by calling soldiers butchers and baby killers.

I guess it’s only inflammatory hate speech if you’re not Muslim. Well, at least the Islamists kept it all peaceful and didn’t get violent like their vile, right-wing, fascist, baby-eating, militant Sharia-law violators…

Only a handful of demonstrators showed up — and [the organization “Stop Islamification of Europe”] were vastly outnumbered by Muslims coming to defend the mosque.

Police hustled the protesters away from the angry crowd. But television footage showed Muslim youths racing through the streets shouting “Allahu Akbar!”, waving Islamic banners and throwing projectiles at riot police. Scotland Yard reported 10 arrests.

“They gave the fascists and far-right what they wanted, and I think that’s a shame,” lawmaker Tony McNulty told Sky News television.

Uh-huh. So one group protests and another group attacks them… exactly who were you saying were fascists, Mr. McNulty? And why does anyone need to “defend” a building from people protesting in front of it? Hasta la vista Free Speech, hello beards and burqas. Oh, and a big shout out to AP for once again proving that the art of unbiased journalism is in the latter stages of its death throes.

Regarding Guns At Protests

Thursday, August 20th, 2009

Guns at protests. Okay, I think it’s time that this subject was broached here on The Sniper. I’m kind of tossed on this issue and before anyone jumps down my throat for either being a) a stark raving mad gun nut or, b) a Big Brother-esque gun grabbing government stooge, hear me out.

In America we have the right to bear arms and, depending on the state, the right to open carry, concealed carry, or both. Now, I know a lot of people would say that based on those rights it is every person’s right to carry regardless of where they are in public which, according to the letter of the law, is true in most cases. That being said, it might not be a very good idea to carry them at protests where the President is nearby. If the intent is to show the Chief Executive that we the People have a right to bear arms, well, I think the Constitution covers that pretty well despite the groaning and gnashing of teeth to the contrary from the far and not so far left. So that point is made moot by redundancy. If the reason is that the guy just always carries (which some people do), I have less of a problem with it. This is more than likely not the case for the guys toting rifles as most people don’t carry a 5.56mm air cooled, magazine fed, semi automatic rifle around with them on a daily basis. This latter group is demonstrative of those that wish to intimidate or even possibly bring harm to others.

This isn’t a very good idea.

I know that some people would make the argument that guns should never be present at a protest, especially when the President is near, and there are some people that would counter that guns already are present… they’re just in the hands of the police and Secret Service… and those people would be right. The police do carry guns at protests. The Secret Service does carry guns at protests… and sniper rifles, grenade launchers, anti-tank weapons, Stinger AA missiles, etc. There is, however, one glaring difference between the police/Secret Service and the guy toting the AR-15 in a crowded protest : the police and Secret Service would be there no matter who the President was, what political party he is in, or whether he was a liberal, conservative, or moderate. The guy in the crowd would not. Oh, and there is one other glaring difference: the guy with the gun in the crowd can be absolutely certain that there is a set of crosshairs on his head or chest at any given moment at that protest… the cops and Secret Service guys can never be certain.

I support the right to bear arms. I support the right to free speech. I think that they both support each other and help defend each other. I don’t think, however, that the two are always compatible in certain situations. I myself would go to a protest. I would (and fairly often do) go shooting and even carry on occasion, but I wouldn’t mix the two for myriad reasons with the foremost being this: I don’t want to be a Secret Service sniper’s hiccup away from having a .308 round in my chest. If you want to bring your firearm to a protest and there are no laws against it I suppose that’s your right… I’ll get my point across with a pithy sign.

Bet They Wished That Iran Didn’t Have Restrictive Gun Laws

Tuesday, June 16th, 2009

Actually I don’t know if they do or not… but considering that none of these guys is armed as they try to take control of an Iranian police station, I’m guessing they don’t have any bang-bang to back them up.

More Peace And Love From The Pro-Hamas Set

Wednesday, January 7th, 2009

This is a video taken in Ft. Lauderdale of an anti-Israel rally. At the end, you can hear the woman in the hijab screaming “You losers! Your mother is whore! Nuke Israel!” “Go back to the oven!” and “What you need is a big oven!” Yeah… this isn’t about Palestinian rights… it’s about starting the second holocaust.

Israel might not have to go into Gaza if it wasn’t a safe haven for terrorists and violent anti-semites.

Here’s what the reporters had to say about it…

Like many other protests of Israel’s campaign in Gaza, this one ended badly — police had to cool an ugly fight between supporters of Israel and Gaza, breaking up the warring sides as their screaming and chanting threatened to turn into something worse.

But some protesters at this rally in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., took their rhetoric a step further, calling for the extermination of Israel — and of Jews.

Separated by battle lines and a stream of rush-hour traffic outside a federal courthouse last week, at least 200 pro-Palestinian demonstrators faced off against a smaller crowd of Israel supporters.

In my humble opinion, if your protest contains chants calling for the destruction of our country or that of an entire people and includes the words “Allahu Ackbar”, the police should just open fire.

And in this clip from an anti-Israeli protest in Toronto, the reporter gets sucker punched by a protestor after he tries to get him to clarify why that protestor said “Hitler didn’t do a good enough job.”

Gay Marriage Ban Protested. Eyes Gouged. Faces Slapped. Ensembles Viciously Insulted

Friday, November 7th, 2008

Seven people were arrested Thursday during ongoing protests in Los Angeles and San Francisco against California’s passage of a ban on gay marriage.

LAPD Officer Jason Lee said the marchers were mostly peaceful in the demonstration against Proposition 8 that began Wednesday night in West Hollywood and continued into Thursday morning.
I will repeat what I have said a thousand times: whatever floats your boat as long as it doesn’t sink mine. If you want to play “Fuzzy Pumper Sausage Shop” with your male partner or “let’s pretend we’re Fidel Castro” with your earthy, flannel bedecked female partner, I could give two rats asses. But the law is the law. People have spoken and it didn’t go your way so just deal with it already. You didn’t see a bunch of old, white, venture capitalists throwing rocks at community centers after Obama was elected, did you? No, you didn’t.
Now, behave and get back to antiquing and decoupage and Liza or whatever it is that you were doing before you started getting all angry. Remember, gay and angry are antonyms you sillies!
If gay marriage can’t pass in California, it just isn’t in the cards right now folks.

The Only Flame That San Francisco Ever Met That It Didn’t Like

Saturday, April 12th, 2008

The Olympic torch was rerouted around protestors in San Francisco’s waterfront districts on Wednesday to avoid unpleasant confrontations… but oddly enough, there were enough flamers running down the street that the international Olympic committee considered the event to be a raging, screaming, faaabulous success anyway.

Get Ready For Your Blood To Boil Again

Friday, June 8th, 2007

Yup, in America.

Don’t think for a second that this isn’t a war of survival. And it won’t stop until we’re all Muslim or we’re all dead. They call Freedom of Expression a “loophole” and use it against us. Nice, eh?

Chavez Pulling The Plug On An Opposition Radio Station? Say It Isn’t So!

Monday, May 28th, 2007

Of course, it is. But we all knew this sort of thing would happen and is bound to be repeated over and over again for any type of media outlet that dares to challenge his point of view. This guy is basically an Hispanic Stalin. And the sad part is that some delusional, toadying Americans (you know, citizens of the “land of the free, home of the brave”) like Cindy Sheehan and Danny Glover bow down at his feet like he’s some kind of philanthropic, socialist god.

CARACAS, Venezuela – Venezuelan police fired tear gas and plastic bullets Monday into a crowd of thousands protesting a decision by President Hugo Chavez that forced a television station critical of his leftist government off the air.

Police fired toward the crowd of up to 5,000 protesters from a raised highway, and protesters fled amid clouds of tear gas. They later regrouped in Caracas’ Plaza Brion chanting “freedom!” Some tossed rocks and bottles at police, prompting authorities to scatter demonstrators by firing more gas.

Hugo Chavez is nothing more than your average third-rate, South American thug… the only difference is that he’s savvy enough to use a press agent.

Reprehensible

(Please forgive me for posting a picture of Edwards at the same time as one of Flanders Field, but you’ll get the point later.)

John Edwards has earned that title time and time again for various reasons, but this one takes the cake. He wants people to protest the war on Memorial Day. That’s right. He wants to turn a national day of remembrance and mourning into a political circus sideshow with him as the ringleader. In fact, he’s been sending out e-mails to try to get people to do just that… including carrying anti-war protest signs in Memorial Day parades. This kind of stunt is at about the same level of tasteless bullshit as say the KKK staging a rally on MLK Day. It’s politicizing the sacrifices of men and women from our armed services (people for whom he is not fit to clean toilets, let alone lead as their Commander in Chief) and the losses suffered by their friends and loved ones.

I personally hold Memorial Day sacred. Each year it’s the same thing: I put on my CD of the US Air Force Reserve Bagpipe Band playing amazing grace, stand at attention, and render honors. No kidding. Call me a dork, call me a geek, call me what you will… but do it while I’m going through my yearly ritual of respect and remembrance and you’ll be calling yourself an ambulance. And I think the standard should be carried to anyone who makes a mockery of our fallen men and women on the one day when the nation takes pause and glances at those headstones in our national cemeteries and those monuments with all of those names on them and thinks “damn, all of those names are on those blocks of stone, so that my name could carry on. Those guys gave up all of their tomorrows, so that I could have my today.”

I agree with Paul Morin, national commander of the American Legion, when he says that:

Revolting is a kind word for it. It’s as inappropriate as a political bumper sticker on an Arlington headstone.” And “Edwards is hardly the first politician from either political party to exploit this day, a holiday that was consecrated with the blood of American heroes. But the e-mail makes me sick nonetheless.”

John Edwards, you make me sick. As for Paul Morin, thank you for sticking up for those that can’t (you know, the ones that were too busy fighting to protect our freedoms and our very lives to realize that they had given up their own to do so). It is my deep suspicion that somewhere in Arlington National Cemetery, a skeletal hand is trying desperately to raise up and salute Mr. Morin… and another is trying desperately to try to raise up its hand and present a different gesture to John Edwards.
