So I Was Thinking…

Aren’t Batman, Iron Man, a good chunk of the Fantastic Four, Charles Xavier (from the X-Men), and numerous other super heroes all super rich? Wouldn’t that make them the 1%? Just sayin’.

Douche-tastic

Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011

This has to be one of the most infuriating, self-aggrandizing, clueless asshats I have ever seen in my entire life. I am speaking, of course, of Logan Price: Pantywaist Extraordinaire. But why? Why must you malign this man so, Mr. Sniper-guy Sir? Well, first off quit calling me “sir”. Secondly, well, read on…

On a fifty degree afternoon in Washington, it is less than tempting to strip one’s clothes off and stand naked in the cold.  When you happen to be at the entrance to the State Department, and there is a solid line of news cameras trained on you, it is even less so. Or so I discovered.

Staring at the cameras, I had a minute to consider how I would be ridiculed by people like Washington Post blogger Dana Milbank.  But it wasn’t a very long minute.

The net contribution of people like you and I, Dana, will always be minuscule in comparison to that of Bradley Manning , who may be the most important whistle-blower if our time.  But I wanted to do my part.

Our military has sent so many of my peers – idealistic young Americans – to die painful and horrible deaths or come home wounded and traumatized from a war founded on lies.

Okay, I decided not to reprint the entire “article” in toto because it just such a cornucopia of bullshit that it would take eons to rip it apart piece by piece not because of the complexity of his arguments, but because of the sheer volume. I’ll concentrate on just two, I think.

Point number one: He calls Bradley Manning a “whistle blower” and “important” instead of using the more accurate terms “mentally unstable traitor” and “idiot”. Spewing all of the state secrets that you have taken an oath to protect when that kind of disclosure is not only not in the public interest, but is in fact devastatingly damaging to our national interests, national security, and the very lives of our soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines, and intelligence service operatives as well as our human assets from other countries abroad is not “whistle blowing”; it’s treason. Manning isn’t a hero, he is a villain. He didn’t do what he did to inform the average citizen in America of crimes against them or of a diabolical p[lot to rid them of their rights; he did it because he was pissed off at the Army, pissed off at his boyfriend, and pissed off that he wasn’t in charge of the world and he wanted to embarrass his country. He’s not an icon of freedom, but the antithesis of all that is right and good in this country: he is a worm.

Point two: That being said, he does have rights and those rights include keeping him safe while in custody including keeping him safe from himself. This is why his clothes were taken away from him (he had made threats of using his underwear to kill himself) and this is why he sleeps nekkid at night. Bradly Manning does not get to kill himself to make us look worse than he already has: we’ll take care of that at the appropriate time thank you very much. But what Logan the professional protester here is claiming is that we’re just doing this for spite. He is implying, nay, flat out stating that this is like Abu Graib and what we’re doing is torture instead of safeguarding the life of an obvious mental defect. This is ire-inspiring but what is really bad is…

Point three: This line: “Our military has sent so many of my peers – idealistic young Americans – to die painful and horrible deaths or come home wounded and traumatized from a war founded on lies.” Um, beg your pardon? Your peers? In just what universe, in just what reality do you DARE to call our men and women in uniform your peers?!? How fucking DARE you compare your dumb ass to them? They hang their asses out on the line every day for us and you show up once to a protest covering a dick with a placard that could have just as easily been covered with an index card and you DARE to act like you are their equals? Fuck You pal. You’re not of a high enough calibre to clean the dogshit out of their shoes let alone have the gall to call them your “peers”. And in case you haven’t noticed, hoss, the “war founded on lies” that you’re talking about is being fought primarily in Afghanistan now. You know, the home of the Taliban? You know, where they stone women to death for showing their faces? You know, the place that gave Bin Laden safe haven? You know Bin Laden, the guy that funded the 9/11 attacks? You don’t? Well, that doesn’t surprise me.

Alright, so I made three points but you get the idea. If I didn’t think he would linger too long, I would tell this moron that he can kiss my ass. Hey Logan, put your clothes back on, put the stupid sign down, and go home. Nobody wants your stupidity here. Bye bye.

If this is the caliber of teacher that Wisconsin has, then they really are getting paid too much. Or should I say “really our getting paid too much”?

Bradley Manning And His Deluded Friends

I think we should free Bradley Manning too… from his mortal coil, that is. Oh, and kudos to the Marines for not shooting those protesters and shame on those Marines for not shooting those protesters.

Arizona Corporation Commissioner Gary Pierce Slaps It On The Table

Thursday, May 20th, 2010

And dares Los Angeles to do the same.

In a letter to Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Arizona Corporation Commissioner Gary Pierce said a boycott war is bad for both sides, and said he would “be happy to encourage Arizona utilities to renegotiate your power agreements” to end the electricity flowing to Los Angeles.

“I am confident that Arizona’s utilities would be happy to take those electrons off your hands,” Mr. Pierce said. “If, however, you find that the City Council lacks the strength of its convictions to turn off the lights in Los Angeles and boycott Arizona power, please reconsider the wisdom of attempting to harm Arizona’s economy.”

Personally, I would totally love to see this happen. Not the dick-slapping-on-the-table in a literal sense, of course, but Arizona pushing back against LA’s attempt at interference in the daily operations of their own state. I would love to see what the energy fiends and techno junkies in LA would do if their electric fix was cut. That would be AWESOME.

There Is “Unfair” And Then There Is “Injustice”

I would categorize this as the latter but then again I am biased. From AP...

COPENHAGEN – Scores of Carlsberg workers walked off their jobs in protest Thursday after the Danish brewer tightened laid-back rules on workplace drinking and removed beer coolers from work sites, a company spokesman said.

The warehouse and production workers in Denmark are rebelling against the company’s new alcohol policy, which allows them to drink beer only during lunch hours in the canteen. Previously, they could help themselves to beer throughout the day, from coolers placed around the work sites.

They went on to say that 800 workers went on strike. They’re lucky they didn’t riot. When will management learn that one of the fringe benefits of working in a brewery (where the wages aren’t that stellar to begin with… trust me on this one) is the ability to tipple on the job and that you don’t screw with that? Ever? Anyway, I won’t complain too much about Carlsberg… it was under contract to them that Louis Pasteur isolated the strain of lager yeast that most breweries and home brewers use today. But still… dude.

Tuesday On Friday

From Reuters…

MADRID (Reuters) – Flight attendants owed up to nine months’ wages by a grounded Spanish airline have posed nude for a calendar to draw attention to their plight, one of the cabin crew turned models said on Wednesday.

The calendar, numerous excerpts of which appeared in the Spanish media, shows the Air Comet attendants, all female, posing provocatively in and outside airline cabins, and in one case on top of a jet turbine.

And the pics look a lot like these (because these ARE some of the pics)…

So let me get this straight: women don’t make enough money, women strip in protest, women expect to get paid more how? Dude, if this is going to be the reaction to lower wages for women you can expect that salaries for the ladies are going to be getting slashed in half across the board… unless it’s in an industry populated mostly by really unattractive women like female boxing or Congress.

Just sayin.

Enough With The PC Already

1_21_450alienI suppose they would prefer the term “undocumented extraterrestrial”?

LOS ANGELES —  A Southern California immigrant rights group on Friday asked the Target store chain and a costume company to stop selling an “illegal alien” Halloween costume it said is offensive to immigrants.

The costume features the mask of an alien with a green card and an orange jumpsuit with “illegal alien” written across the front.

Um, yeah. Shut up. Unless you are actually defending the rights of little green men (oh, and women… oh, and transgendered transsexuals from the Degobah System… gotta be PC here) then just shut right the hell up. In fact, no… maybe they’re right. Maybe we should pull all of those costumes from the shelves so that THE ILLEGAL ALIENS WON’T GE OFFENDED. Then we should pull all of the vampire, mummy, ghost, and Frankenstein costumes so we don’t offend the undead. Then we should pull all of the werewolf costumes so we don’t offend the lycanthropes. Then we should pull all of the police, fireman, and doctor costumes so we don’t offend people who work for a living. Then we should pull all of the princess, fairy, and Tinkerbell costumes so we don’t offend San Fransisco.

Seriously folks, I could give a rat’s ass about offending an illegal alien. I care about as much for them as I do drug dealers, welfare cheats, and thieves… they’re a burden on society and quite frankly I don’t care if they get offended.

Religion Of Peace Members Hurl Projectiles At Riot Police… Guess Who Gets Blamed?

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009
Quit calling us violent fanatics and convert to Islam or we'll kill you.

Quit calling us violent fanatics and convert to Islam or we'll kill you.

What do you call it when a group of Muslims starts screaming “Allahu Ackbar”, waving pro-Islamist banners, and throwing projectiles at demonstrators and riot police in response to a non-violent protest on the eight anniversary of 9-11? Well, right wing fascism by anti-Muslim groups of course!

LONDON – Violent clashes between anti-Islam demonstrators and Muslim counter-protesters in English cities are worrying the government, with one British minister comparing the disturbances to 1930s-era fascist incitement.

The violence that has hit Luton, Birmingham and London in the last few months has involved a loose collection of far-right groups — such as the previously unknown English Defense League — on one side and anti-fascist organizations and Muslim youth on the other.

In an interview published Saturday, Communities Minister John Denham accused the anti-Islam protesters of deliberately stirring up trouble.

Deliberately stirring up trouble, eh? So what exactly does Communities Minister John Denham call the Islamic protest at a parade of returning British soldiers from Iraq where groups of Muslims were carrying signs that said “baby killers” and “butchers”? Or are Muslim protests freedom of speech and non-Muslim protests hate speech?

Anjem Chourdary added insult to the injury caused by Islamic extremists’ hate-filled protest against soldiers returning home from the war-torn region by saying they were ‘not heroes but closer to coweards who cannot fight, as their uncanny knack for death by friendly fire illustrates’.

Choudary’s extraordinary comments were delivered hours after Muslim protesters waved offensive placards as members of 2nd Battalion Royal Anglian Regiment marched through Luton.

The preacher, the right-hand man to cleric of hate Omar Bakri, went on to attack the ‘vile’ parade. He said the soldiers were ‘terrorists’, comparing them to Nazi troops who ‘cannot be excused for simply carrying out their duty’.

Peaceful Islamists not instigating by calling soldiers butchers and baby killers.

Peaceful Islamists not instigating by calling soldiers butchers and baby killers.

I guess it’s only inflammatory hate speech if you’re not Muslim. Well, at least the Islamists kept it all peaceful and didn’t get violent like their vile, right-wing, fascist, baby-eating, militant Sharia-law violators…

Only a handful of demonstrators showed up — and [the organization “Stop Islamification of Europe”] were vastly outnumbered by Muslims coming to defend the mosque.

Police hustled the protesters away from the angry crowd. But television footage showed Muslim youths racing through the streets shouting “Allahu Akbar!”, waving Islamic banners and throwing projectiles at riot police. Scotland Yard reported 10 arrests.

“They gave the fascists and far-right what they wanted, and I think that’s a shame,” lawmaker Tony McNulty told Sky News television.

Uh-huh. So one group protests and another group attacks them… exactly who were you saying were fascists, Mr. McNulty? And why does anyone need to “defend” a building from people protesting in front of it? Hasta la vista Free Speech, hello beards and burqas. Oh, and a big shout out to AP for once again proving that the art of unbiased journalism is in the latter stages of its death throes.

Despite a call from the Women’s Center, the film version of author Tucker Max’s book “I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell” will be shown Wednesday at North Carolina State University.

Advocates who wanted the film showing canceled met with Union Activities Board Film Committee Chair Will Lamb and others in the UAB office Monday to discuss the implications of the movie and the question and answer session with Max, which is scheduled to follow the movie.

Rape Prevention Education Coordinator Juliette Grimmett, who works at the Women’s Center, said the Center was notified the film would be shown on campus three weeks ago, but said the Center wasn’t aware of how offensive the content of the film would be until a concerned student e-mailed her.

Holy crap! Sounds like a really dangerous, rape-filled, woman-beating misogyny fest, right? It did to me too… so I watched the trailer.

Yeah. You’re probably thinking what I’m thinking which is “gee, this just looks like a re-hashed version of the movie ‘Bachelor Party’ mixed with ‘Porky’s'”. And you would be about right. This is just another stupid attempt by feminazi PC police to regulate free speech. Is this classic cinema? Hell no. Is it chauvinist? Probably. But since “The Vagina Monologues” is popping up all over college campuses faster than freshman chlamydia why the hell can’t guys have their version? Isn’t college all about learning? And isn’t learning all about looking at other viewpoints and discussing their merits and shortfalls rationally so that enlightenment can be gained through intelligent discourse?

Grimmett said no one from the Women’s Center will be attending the film or the Q&A, though she would if she didn’t have family commitments planned already for that night.

“I have no interest in asking him questions,” Grimmett said. “I don’t feel it’s helpful at all to get into those debates, and, having worked with college students for many years, I don’t think that’s the best use of our resources.”

Yeah, one sure wouldn’t want to have deal with those pesky “debates” that one might lose due to one’s rigid, myopic, and sexist view of the world… I’m talking about the Women’s Center’s Ms. Grimmett, of course.

Regarding Guns At Protests

Thursday, August 20th, 2009

Guns at protests. Okay, I think it’s time that this subject was broached here on The Sniper. I’m kind of tossed on this issue and before anyone jumps down my throat for either being a) a stark raving mad gun nut or, b) a Big Brother-esque gun grabbing government stooge, hear me out.

In America we have the right to bear arms and, depending on the state, the right to open carry, concealed carry, or both. Now, I know a lot of people would say that based on those rights it is every person’s right to carry regardless of where they are in public which, according to the letter of the law, is true in most cases. That being said, it might not be a very good idea to carry them at protests where the President is nearby. If the intent is to show the Chief Executive that we the People have a right to bear arms, well, I think the Constitution covers that pretty well despite the groaning and gnashing of teeth to the contrary from the far and not so far left. So that point is made moot by redundancy. If the reason is that the guy just always carries (which some people do), I have less of a problem with it. This is more than likely not the case for the guys toting rifles as most people don’t carry a 5.56mm air cooled, magazine fed, semi automatic rifle around with them on a daily basis. This latter group is demonstrative of those that wish to intimidate or even possibly bring harm to others.

This isn’t a very good idea.

I know that some people would make the argument that guns should never be present at a protest, especially when the President is near, and there are some people that would counter that guns already are present… they’re just in the hands of the police and Secret Service… and those people would be right. The police do carry guns at protests. The Secret Service does carry guns at protests… and sniper rifles, grenade launchers, anti-tank weapons, Stinger AA missiles, etc. There is, however, one glaring difference between the police/Secret Service and the guy toting the AR-15 in a crowded protest : the police and Secret Service would be there no matter who the President was, what political party he is in, or whether he was a liberal, conservative, or moderate. The guy in the crowd would not. Oh, and there is one other glaring difference: the guy with the gun in the crowd can be absolutely certain that there is a set of crosshairs on his head or chest at any given moment at that protest… the cops and Secret Service guys can never be certain.

I support the right to bear arms. I support the right to free speech. I think that they both support each other and help defend each other. I don’t think, however, that the two are always compatible in certain situations. I myself would go to a protest. I would (and fairly often do) go shooting and even carry on occasion, but I wouldn’t mix the two for myriad reasons with the foremost being this: I don’t want to be a Secret Service sniper’s hiccup away from having a .308 round in my chest. If you want to bring your firearm to a protest and there are no laws against it I suppose that’s your right… I’ll get my point across with a pithy sign.

Uncle Sniper Wants YOU

Wednesday, May 13th, 2009

I don’t hate too many people. Not really. I might say I hate this or that or him or her, but I usually don’t mean it. But I do really hate some things and some people. I hate al Qaeda. I hate the Taliban. I hate terrorists of all genres… especially these douchebags: the Westboro Baptist Church. You have no idea how much I despise these colostomy bag-chugging oxygen thieves. Every time, and I mean EVERY TIME, I see them I want to beat them to death with an entrenching tool… and by “beat them to death with an entrenching tool” I mean “shove into a cell with a violent, gay power lifter serving life for sexual assault and murder whose brother died in Iraq and whose sister died in 9/11”. See, that way they’ll really wish I had actually used an e-tool to cleave their rancid, foul, festering, ignorant guts out onto the filthy pavement for the dogs to reject and for starving rats to find too foul to ingest.
Nothing they get will be bad enough for them. I don’t want to go to the clink just for one shot at them in public, so I’ll curb my violent tendencies and use my words to wound them. They’ll probably need a dictionary to understand the more complex word structures (more than one syllable) but they’ll get the gist with my hand gestures.

They aim to disrupt the funeral of one of our fallen brothers at Arlington ton Thursday, May 21st. SSG William Vile’s family aims to honor their son in peace. WBC aims to disrupt that peace. We aim to disrupt the WBC. Please, please, please come out and help harass these assholes and keep them from harassing the family that is grieving so much at the loss of someone who not only gave everything he had for them, but for us too. Consider it a request, an order, a plea, whatever… just be there.

He fought for us… let’s fight for him.

Funny how you can show up to arrest someone and end up arrested yourself…

I’m very disappointed by this video… there was far too little kicking, punching, tazering, etc. What the hell is with cops these days? Don’t they teach these things at the police academy anymore? I mean, I know it’s Canada so I can’t complain about my tax dollars being wasted on paying cops that refuse to use a choke-hold, but shouldn’t the entire global community be incensed that our police forces are withering away to nothing more than living hippie-barriers? I for one am going to demand that our local police forces get an eight hour, quarterly block of instruction on police brutality and that they be mandated to use it at least once during a protest involving the chant “arrest [insert random republican here]” or “no war for [insert random commodity here]” or “save the [insert random walking food or pelt product here]”.

Seriously guys… you have billy clubs and asps for a reason. The people’s tax dollars weren’t spent on those things for them to hang impotently on your utility belts. If you want to keep them, I think you should be required to bring them in and show them to your supervisors encrusted in clotted blood and patchouli scented hair once a year or you have to give them back. A blood soaked, fake green card will do as a substitute.

This Word, I Do Not Think It Means What You Think It Means… Pt II

Is Islam the “Religion of Peace”? Well, I guess it is… of course that all depends on what your definition of “peace” is.

If your definition of “peace” includes mocking your dead soldiers and your religious leaders organizing protests disrupting the homecoming parade of your nation’s soldiers and “praising the disruption and branding the homecoming a “vile parade” of “brutal murderers” whom he likened to Nazis,” then yes it is a religion of peace.
If your definition of “peace” includes recruiting terrorists in America, getting them to become suicide bombers, and trying to institute your draconian legal system in another country (that is, Sharia in America), then yes, it is a religion of peace.
And if your definition of “peace” includes lobbing mortar rounds at embassies, killing school girls, and hanging homosexuals… then yes, by all means, it is a religion of peace.
And I wish nothing but peace to them. In Shah Allah.

Pro-Palestinian/Anti-Israeli Protest Of The Day Part II

Wednesday, January 14th, 2009

Here’s the attitude that I’m seeing here among the protestors: “We’ll do what we want and you can’t stop us! And when you do try to stop us we’ll react violently and then when you defend yourself with a proportionate response we’ll scream police brutality!”

Is anybody else seeing this the way I am, or am I just another pawn of the Zionist, anti-Arab, infidel war machine?
