Enterprise CO Sailing WELL Into Harms Way

January 3rd, 2011 by The Sniper

Okay, I have done some really bone-headed things during my military career, but this takes the cake. Captain Owen Honors, the former XO of the Enterprise turned CO of the Enterprise (soon to be former CO of the Enterprise), made some videos for the morale of the ship but didn’t have the foresight to think that mayyyyyybe somebody might get offended and send one of these clips to the news. The content of these videos? Well…

In one scene, two female Navy sailors stand in a shower stall aboard the aircraft carrier, pretending to wash each other. They joke about how they should get six minutes under the water instead of the mandated three.

In other skits, sailors parade in drag, use anti-gay slurs, and simulate masturbation and a rectal exam. Another scene implies that an officer is having sex in his stateroom with a donkey.

You can watch the movie in question yourself below.

His most egregious offense of all? Using Jefferson Starship’s “We Built This City” as part of his sound track. I mean, really. Starship? We Built This City? Really? I can take off-color jokes, sexual content, swearing, offensive material, and even a certain amount of conduct unbecoming an officer, but when you cross the line and use Jefferson Starship in your soundtrack, you’ve gone too far.

Hasta la vista Naval career. Can you say Captain Dumbass?

P.S. I loved the videos, by the way and if Capt Honors ever wants to blog here he has an open invite.

What is sad, is you see much the same and worse on Saturday Night Live.

These videos were standard pathetic attempts at officer level humor, that us enlisted only give a polite chuckle to.

That, and they’re nearly 5 fucking years old! How terrible are they, they weren’t reported immediately upon arrival at home port?

Stupid, never served, liberal panty waste cocklickers will not be happy until the US military is no longer allowed to kill the enemy.

I too, thought they were funny and appropriate for the audience and environment for which they were produced, namely our Sailors on a Warship at sea…

“The Captain and the Admiral have no knowledge of this video” was said countless times and I’m sure that was true before each showing. But I’m certain that if there been a ‘real’ problem with it then it would have been taken care of right then.

    This is really ‘NON-News’…

And, now, Capt Honors has been, for all intents and purposes, cashiered. Another casualty of the PC culture pervading the military.
Indeed, if this was so “offensive”, why did the Navy wait almost 5 years to do anything about it?

I will first clarify that I am a civilian and AM NOT OFFENDED by any content on these videos. I chuckled a few times. Since it took so long for this issue to become an issue, I can’t help but wonder if Captain Honor pissed off the wrong person who then went on a search and destroy mission through his career until they found something to get rid of him for.

No, this is a push by the Libs and gays to get them to enforce abolishing DADT now, and to gut Conservatives from the military. It will get worse from here, this is only the beginning. The CO of the 172d Inf BDE was relieved today for no published reason. Wonder what the truth is? Could it be related to this stuff?

BTW, I am former .mil, 19D in 2ACR. I have seen more than my share of and participated in plenty of off key humor. This is PC and Lib-Progs run wild. The coming years will be worse than the Klinton years were for us.
