So Who Didn’t Win The Nobel Prize This Year?

DrFrom P.J Tobia who reports from Afghanistan at True/Slant…

But here in Afghanistan the big story is about the nominee who didn’t win the prize. That would be Dr. Sima Samar, an incredibly courageous Afghan woman who has risked her life for much of the past decade, treating women and girls in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Dr. Samar has likely saved the lives of countless women and girls who’s medical problems would otherwise have been ignored and their eventual deaths, unnoticed. Guess that’s not enough for the gang up in Oslo.

Better luck next year, Doc.

Go over to True/Slant (linked above) and read the whole article. You’ll probably be a lot more pissed off about the 12 day wonder’s nomination after you read the whole story about someone who really did earn it.

    We need to send Kanye West to Oslo.. He can jump onstage after a bottle of Cognac and interupt the ‘Annointed One’ and commend Dr Samar. Shall we start a petition??
