UMASS Coach Travis Ford after deciding to turn down offers to coach Providence College (Bernie Owens’ Alma Mater) and LSU:
Ford quotes, 4/10/2008:
“This is the right place for me.”
“I’m 100% committed to this.”
“I want to be able to coach those guys.”
“I didn’t want to lead my players in the wrong direction. . . I wanted to be able to, when I talked to them, give them the final: this is what I’m doing, this is it.”
And now, headline on April 16:
Ford to leave UMass for Oklahoma State
What a [richard]. I hope you lose every game you play in for the rest of your lifetime. Seriously. I root for John Calipari because when he left UMASS to go to the Pro ranks of coaching, he still didn’t forget us. We knew he would leave. We knew Travis would leave too, but you don’t make comments like that and then stab us in the arse 6 days later. 100% committed my hirsute backside. In the words of Inigo Montoya, I do not think that word (committed) means what you think it means.
Every game I will root against you. I now have 2 favorite teams, UMASS and whoever slaps you silly on any given night.
Bite me asshat, and get your crap off our campus.

Ghey. Flaming. We’re talking Richard Simmons on ice skates singing Judy Garland show tunes while contemplating the purchase of a Jeep Wrangler here.
Now, here’s my question. How does a umass basketball coach get his stuff off of the citdel campus..I mean, claim one shitty school, not two!
Nay! I shall claim 3! UMASS, El Cid, GMU.
(While a Citadel Alum and GMU Uber-Alum, I actually attended UMASS for a year, and root for UMASS teams not Citadel ones, since Citadel really stinks, witness me as wrestler for instance)
Dude, that stuff you did in the barracks doesn’t count as “wrestling”
